What is the difference between a global shutter and a rolling shutter?

Global shutter: All pixels are exposed simultaneously at the same timing.

Rolling shutter: Each block of pixels is exposed sequentially.
Because of the time differences between blocks, moving subjects may appear distorted in the captured image.
For imaging moving objects, the use of a global shutter is recommended.
