How can I restore the camera settings to the factory default (initial state)?

USB3 Vision, GigE Vision, and CoaXPress cameras support both saving and loading settings.
There are two types of data stored in the camera:
Default: Factory default (initial state), read-only and cannot be changed
UserSet: User-modifiable settings

By loading the Default data, the camera settings will return to the factory default state.

USB2.0, USB3.0, Camera Link, and Opt-C:Link cameras do not store factory defaults internally.
For these models, please save the settings to a file before making changes, so you can restore them later if needed.

Steps to restore factory defaults in StViewer:

  1. Stop image acquisition.
Go to RemoteDevice -> UserSetControl -> UserSetSelector and set it to “Default”.
  2. The UserSetLoad -> Execute button will become active. Click Execute to load the factory default data.
  3. To save current settings:
Go to RemoteDevice -> UserSetControl -> UserSetSelector and select UserSet1.
Click UserSetSave -> Execute to save the current settings into UserSet1.

To set startup behavior:
RemoteDevice -> UserSetControl -> UserSetDefault -> “Default” -> The camera starts with factory defaults.
RemoteDevice -> UserSetControl -> UserSetDefault -> “UserSet1” -> The camera starts with the saved user settings.
