In StViewer, GigE Vision camera is displayed but the OK button cannot be selected, so I cannot use the camera.
This occurs when the PC’s network card (NIC) and the GigE Vision camera are not on the same network. Please check and adjust the IP address settings of both the NIC and the camera.
The NIC’s IP address can be checked in the Device Selection screen under Interface Information.
The camera’s IP address can be checked in the Device Selection screen under Device Information.
How to set the IP address:
- In the Device Selection screen, select the camera you want to use and click the Set IP Address button in the lower-left corner.
- In the Set IP Address screen, set the Device Configuration -> IP Address and Subnet Mask to match the NIC Configuration -> IP Address and Subnet Mask.
For the IP Address: use the same first three values as the NIC’s IP Address, but set the last value (1–254) different from the NIC’s IP.
For the Subnet Mask: use the same value as the NIC’s Subnet Mask.
Click OK to save. - Return to the Device Selection screen and click OK to connect the camera.
Example:
| IP address information / Device | NIC Configration | Device Configration |
| IP Address | 169.254.237.65 | 192.168.3.165 |
| Subnet Mask | 255.255.255.0 | 255.255.0.0 |
- Open the Set IP Address screen.
- Set the Device Configuration IP Address to 169.254.237.50 and Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0.
Click OK. - Return to the Device Selection screen, and select OK again to connect the camera.
