What are the Packed10 and Packed12 pixel formats?
Since image data is transferred in 8-bit units, when transferring 10bits data, it is sent as 16bits data (with 6bits unused), which includes 6bits of dummy data. For 12bits data, 16bits transfer is also used, with 4bits of dummy data included.
By using the Packed function, the unused bits within the 16bits transfer data are utilized for the transfer of the next pixel data. This reduces the total amount of transfer data, resulting in improved transfer speed and a higher frame rate.
Example: 48-bit data transfer using Packed format
