For Camera Link cameras, how does the TAP configuration affect the frame rate?
The frame rate increases proportionally with the number of TAP configurations.
When the bit depth is the same, the frame rate differences can be estimated as follows.
| Number of TAP | Frame Rate |
| 2TAP | Approximately twice as fast as 1 TAP |
| 3TAP | Approximately 1.5 times as fast as 2 TAP |
| 4TAP | Approximately 1.3 times as fast as 3 TAP |
| 8TAP | Approximately twice as fast as 4 TAP |
| 10TAP | Approximately 1.25 times as fast as 8 TAP |
1 TAP, 2 TAP, and 3 TAP (8bits) configurations require only one Camera Link cable.
3 TAP (10bits), 3 TAP (12bits), 4 TAP, 8 TAP, and 10 TAP configurations require two Camera Link cables.
