In ImageDisplayWnd -> Drawing Tool, set Enable Drawing On Saving Image to True.

Saving images with drawing data is only possible when you right-click on the preview screen and save as Preview Image.

Notes:
If you save images from the File menu or toolbar buttons, drawing data will not be included.
Saving drawing data is also not supported for video files.
