The performance of GigE Vision camera changes depending on pefromance/setting of network board/port.
The performance of GigE Vision camera is stable when one GigE Vision camera connecting to one network port.
Please adds extend network board if it is necessary.
Please use Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) supports network switch when there are some configuration limitation such as extend network board cannot insert to PC or limitation fo number of cable due to cabling limitation.
Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) supports network switch can be used when total amount of data from GigE Vision cameras is less than 1Gbps with trigger operation.
Please check on actual environment when using network switch, because performance is different each manufacture and model.
While connecting multiple GigE Vision camera with Gigabit Ethernet supported switch, there are some affects including reduce frame rate and camera could not recognize when total amount of trasmitt data from GigE Vision cameras becomes more than 1Gbps.
Please reduce total amount of trasmitt data with reduce frame rata when connecting multiple GigE Vision camera with one Gigabit Ethernet supported switch.
Jumbo frame is, change packet size from 1,500kbytes to like 9kbytes to reduce number of packets of data transfering.
The data transfering efficenty and stability can be improve with jumbo frame function.
(Jumbo frame is same meaning)
In the case of transfering 8bit 2,048×1,536 image data from GigE Vision camera, amount of data of one frame is about 25,165kbytes.
When disabling Jumbo frame, number of packets of data is about 16,780 packets (25,165,000/1,500).
When enabling 9k Jumbo frame, number of packets of data is about 2,800 packets (25,165,000/9,000).
The number of packets can be reduce significanty with Jumbo frame.
We recommend to use 9kbytes Jumbo frame if network card (port) supports GigE Vision camera.
We recommend following specification PoE switch:
Supports 9k Jumbo frame
Supports 1,000Mbps (1Gbps)
* The frame rate limitation or frame drops may occur depending on number of connecting cameras and settings due to bandwidth between PC and PoE switch is 1Gbps.
The different power adaptor is required for GigE Vision M series camera and S series camera due to different pin assignment of 6pin connector on camera.

GigE Vision camera S series: UN310-6P power adoptor
*These power adoptors are only available in Japan. Please check specifications of camera for pin assignment of 6pin connector of camera to select correct power adaptor.
The network usage is increasing due to 1Gbps communication constantly when continuou output full resolution image from GigE Vision camera.
The netwrok usage is decreasing when reducing frame rate.
There is different delay time between trigger input and start exposing is based on type of trigger input port (Opto-isolated input port or Open Collector input).
We recommend to use Open Collector input for trigger input to reduce delay time.
