GigE Vision camera could not recogize on StViewer.

It is possible to block connection of GigE Vision camera by security software on PC.

Please check GigE Vision camera can recognize with either below (1) or (2) security setting change.
(1) Sets temporary communication permission to only GigE Vision camera connecting NIC
(2) Changes temporary disable security software

* The security level of PC becomes low with above setting. We recommend bellows:
(1) Please do not connect internet or intranet with temporary communication permission set NIC.
(2) Please do not connect internet or intranet.

How can I go back to factory default settings (initial settings) of camera?

USB3 Vision, GigE Vision and CoaXPress cameras have settings save and load functions.
There are two types of data can be saving onto camera.
Default: Unchangeable Factory default settings
UserSet: Changeable default settings
When loading “Default” data on camera, camera settings go back to factory default settings.
(USB2.0, USB3.0, Camera Link and Opt-C:Link cameras do not have factory default settings on camera.It is necessary to create “Default” settings file before change settings.)

Below is procedure to go back to factory default settings by StViewer.
1. Selects “Default” at “UserSetSelector” under “UserSetControl” on “RemoteDevice” after stop image acquisition.
2. When selecting “Execute” button at “UserSetLoad”, factory default settings are loads from camera.
3. To save factory default settings onto camera, selects “UserSet1” at “UserSetSelector” under “UserSetControl” on “RemoteDevice” then seleccts “Execute” button at “UserSetSave”.

When selecting “Default” at “UserSetDefault” under “UserSetControl” on “RemoteDevice”, power on camera with factory default settings.
When selecting “UserSet1” at “UserSetDefault” under “UserSetControl” on “RemoteDevice”, power on camera with saved UserSet1 settings.

GigE Vision camera is displaying on StViewer, but I could not select “OK” button after select listed GigE camera.

GigE Vision camera and network card(port) on PC are not on same network and GigE Vision cannot use it.
Please check and set IP Address of GigE Vision camera and network card(port) on PC.
IP Address of network card (port) can be confirm on “Interface Information” on “Device Selection” window.
IP Address of GigE Vision camera can be cofirm on “Device Information” on “Device Selection” window.

Please follow below procedure to change IP Address of GigE Vision camera.
1. “Set IP Address” button on right bottom of “Device Selection” window after selects GigE Vision camera to use.
2. Sets IP Address and Subnet Mask at “Device Configuration” on “Set IP Address” window, based on IP Address and Subnet Mask at “NIC Configuration” then selects “OK” button.
Sets same 1st to 3rd octets and different 4th octet IP Address of NIC Configuration, to IP Address of Device Configuration.
Sets same Subnet Mask of NIC Configuration, to Subnet Mask of Device Configration.
3. Selects “OK” button on “Device Selection” window. (If IP Address of Device Configuration is correct, “OK” button becomes selectable)

In the case of below configuration:

IP information / interface NIC Configration Device Configration
IP Address 169.254.237.65 192.168.3.165
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 255.255.0.0

1. “Set IP Address” button on right bottom of “Device Selection” window after selects GigE Vision camera to use.
2. Sets “169.254.237.50” at IP Address and “255.255.255.0” at Subnet Mask of Device Configuration on “Set IP Address” window then selects “OK” button.
3. Selects “OK” button on “Device Selection” window.

Only some part of image is displaying on StViewer.

When starting StViewr, original image (x1 magnification image) is displaying and only some part of image is displaying with some camera.
It is necessary to use zoom function of StViewer to display whole image. Selects resize magnification to display whole image.

Selects resize magnification to display whole image with following procedure:
1. Right click on acquisition image then selects “Fixed Zoom” under “Zoom”.
2. “1/8”, “1/4” and “1/2” resize magnification are selectable.

What is different between types of camera parameter with Sentech SDK and StViewer?

The following types of camera prameter are available:
IBoolean: True or False select parameter
IInteger: Integer value save parameter
IFloat: Float value save parameter
IEnumeration: Selection select parameter
IString: Character save parameter
ICommand: Command for camera execute parameter

The parameter control method is different based on type of camera parameter.
Please refers “AutoFunction” or “FeatureList” sample programs for parameter control method.
Please refers sample code that displaying at bottom part of “NodeMap” when selecting function on StViewer for camera parameters.

How can I resize acquisition image with StViewer?

The image can resize with zoom function of StViewer.
Only displaying image resize with zoom function and save image is original none resize image.

The displaying image can be resized with following procedure:
1. Right click on acquisition image then selects “Fixed Zoom” under “Zoom”.
2. “1/8”, “1/4” and “1/2” resize magnification are selectable.

What is unit for shutter speed (exposure time) that change with StViewer?

The unit for shutter speed (exposure time) is us (microsecond).

The greenish image is acquired with USB/GigE Vision camera.

USB/GigE Vision cameras use Bayer CMOS image sensor.
The greenish image is acquired when selecting “OFF” at white balance or white balance settings are not appropriate.

Please adjusts white balance by following procedure:
The following is white balance adjustment procedure with StViewer (for USB3 Vision and GigE Vision)
1. Selects “Once” or “Continuous” at “Balance White Auto” under “AnalogControl” under “RemoteDevice” after stop image acquisition.
“Once”: White balance adjust automatically once
“Continuous”: White balance adjust continuously

The following is white balance adjustment procedure with StCamSWare (for USB3.0 and USB2.0)
1. Selects “Setting” under “Option” in menu of StCamSWare, then selects “Advanced” button on setting window.
2. Selects “WhiteBalance” Tab then selects one of “Manual”, “FullAuto” and “OneShot”.
“Manual”: White balance adjust manually
“FullAuto”: Whita balance adjust continuously
“OneShot”: White balance adjust automatically once

“File StGenTL.cti not valid” error appears and StViewer could not start.

It is possible to installed v3.09 or older StCamSWare on PC.
The installation folder for StGenTL.cti file is difference between v3.09 or older StCamSWare and Sentech SDK.
When both are installed, StViewer uses old version of StGenTL.cti then error occurs.

When this error message appears, please uninstall StCamSWare then installs v3.10 or latest StCamSWare if it is necessary.

The camera settings did not save when saving camera settings to UserSet by using StViewer.

The camera settings on “Romote Device” are UserSet save settings.
The camera settings on other than “Remote Device” do not save to UserSet.

The camera settings on other than “Remote Device” need to set/select when it is necessary, or
it is necessary to make software with Sentech SDK, to save settings.
